Gippsland Community Leadership Program 2023 Opens

Applications for the highly regarded Gippsland Community Leadership Program (GCLP) 2023 are now open and will close on Monday 31 October.

Committee for Gippsland CEO Tony Cantwell said GCLP was the longest running regional leadership program of its kind in Australia and it had never been a better time to develop local leaders as the region undergoes a clean energy transition.

“GCLP provides participants with an overview of the challenges and opportunities for Gippsland, while developing individual leadership skills and inspiring further community participation,” Tony Cantwell said.

“It is a leadership program which strongly values integration with our Gippsland community and industry sectors, as it encourages participants to connect and collaborate with their local school, sporting club, charity or not-for-profit to make positive change.”

The Committee for Gippsland delivers the leadership program that runs from February to November each year, developing 28 aspiring regional leaders across Gippsland while showcasing the region, its people and industries.

The GCLP team will be running a Q&A Webinar next Thursday 20 October for anyone interested in the program to virtually drop in from 2pm - 3pm, click here for the webinar zoom link.
