Mary Aldred commenced as the CEO of the Committee for Gippsland in 2011.
Having worked in business, industry and government, Mary’s career in the energy sector included a position as Corporate & Regulatory Manager for an energy efficiency business, in a policy role for the retail arm of International Power, and at the Energy Supply Association.
Mary has also worked in government including for a United States Senator in Washington, DC.
Mary has a BA (Hons) from Monash University, and a Master of Agribusiness from the University of Melbourne. Mary is currently studying for an MBA at Federation University. In July 2016 Mary studied Infrastructure in a Market Economy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in Boston, Massachusetts.
Policy and Membership Manager
Tony joins the Committee for Gippsland having worked as a journalist, lawyer and within government gaining experience across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Bringing a wealth of skills and a passion for Gippsland to his role, Tony is responsible in helping develop and shape a wide range of positive policy positions for the Gippsland region through research and industry engagement.
As a Gippsland local, Tony also has the knowledge and understanding of Gippsland in order to help implement the Committee for Gippsland agenda towards creating a more prosperous Gippsland.
Program Director – Gippsland Community Leadership Program
Jenny’s diverse career as a leader and executive manager across community, public, private and government sectors enables her to draw on and impart her vast knowledge and experience of leadership in the community and the workplace.
As a former CEO and government adviser, Jenny has also been an agent for change in the retail and not for profit sectors with extensive experience in community and public sector engagement.
Jenny’s commitment to community extends across decades and ranges from an early involvement as a kindergarten parent in the early 80’s to a Trustee on Latrobe City Trust today. Her passions are people, history, Gippsland and writing.
